    High Fidelity
    I’m Not There
    Velvet Goldmine
Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story

Bonus Q: School of Rock is terrific. I love Richard Linklater’s films. Detrot Rock City was… I haven’t seen it in a long time, but I remember digging it. The Tenacious D movie was all right, but I’d never want to sit through it again.

  4. Pink Floyd’s The Wall

Haven’t seen any of those films.

i like school of rock but i like the wonders, almost famous, across the Universe only that one is the beatles. all of these are classic rock but there still good

  10. 24 Hour Party People is about the Madchester scene. I haven’t watched all of it (I didn’t really like it actually…) but if you have an interest in late 70s – early 80s English music you might enjoy it.

Walk the Line is a good one. It’s more of a biography, but also a great glimpse into the rock n’ roll lifestyle. I think Joaquin Phoenix was a great Johnny Cash.

BA: I loved School of Rock. Haven’t seen the other two.

  13. It’s more of a documentary but ”Heavy Metal in Baghdad” was excellent.

Oh I have seen School of Rock I like it but it is not a film I personally would want to watch more than 3 or 4 times. And I have seen one of the Pick of Destiny films but I don’t think it was Detroit Rock City.

  14. Jeffrey says:

Black Roses – rad horror movie where the music turns kids into demons

Spinal Tap – A classic comedy – not to be missed
Heavy Metal Parking Lot – a jaw dropping documentary. hilarious!

  18. Almost Famous
    Spinal Tap
Wayne’s World (kind of about rock)
    Rock Star
    High Fidelity
Dazed and Confused (not about rock but it takes place in a highschool in the 70s which was basically all about rock music!)

OMGG!!! and That Thing You Do, someone said The Wonders and I’m not sure if he/she meant that thing you do with Tom Hanks and Liv Tyler… Check it out

    and Empire Records also!

BQ: I absolutely love the Pick of Destiny and School of Rock, I haven’t seen the other one yet… I should check it out!
