  1. a person who listens to rock usually doesnt care about physical appearances. where as a hip hopper does. they care about physical appearances more then they should. rockers are like “i am who i am. this is me. deal with it. GRRR!” ha xD theyre usually more down to earth and open minded.

    im a rocker :)

I don’t know, I listen to everything, except country, and have gone through many different phases, so you can’t really sum up everybody and say they fit a specific personality trait, but yeah, some probably do. I grew up listening to rock, with a tad bit rap in my childhood (MC Hammer, Vanilla Ice, House of Pain, Beastie Boys etc.). Guns n Roses were my favorite as a child and I still listen to them daily. When I was about 12 I was obsessed with Kurt Cobain and Grunge music. When I was about 14 it was Punk bands like Rancid. I then learned guitar and learned every Metallica song including solos (but was still more into punk, just Metallica was my favorite to play so I listened to them too). When I was 16 I started getting into rap when I heard Tupac, that really switched things around for me, and now at 28 years old I would rather listen to Tupac than anybody else out there, but I still listen to lots of rock as well. One day I might be listening to U2, Bob Dylan or Led Zeppelin. The next I might be listening to Chaka Khan, Alice in Chains or Michael Jackson. The next I might be listening to Dr Dre, Run DMC or Tupac. I don’t listen to this Lil Wayne or T Pain garbage nowadays though and I can’t stand bands like Owl City and all this Emo crap.

  3. I am not sure why there would be much difference. Rock and Hip Hop are very similar, most people would probably listen to both. While I expect you think Hip Hop is mostly for the black community, everyone listens to Hip Hop, so it wouldn’t be much of a difference. Maybe a younger audience of youth would be more inclined to listen to Hip Hop as opposed to older generations, but that doesn’t mean older people don’t Rap and listen to Hip Hop either.
