  1. knowitall says:

It would reduce it for me. I would look for a different house. I have a nice house – totally renovated with all new SS appliances and granite counter tops at a very low price. Several buyers like it but the teenagers hanging out in the middle of the street have kept them from buying it. These “gangstas” will stand around , some on bikes, and ignore you while not moving to let you back out of your driveway. You do not dare confront them for fear of vandalism. Of course you can not get the cops to do anything about it either.

  2. You should address your concerns with the school board and the new school administration. You can not judge one school with the actions of another. Some school administrators take an active out of school approach to moving their kids out of the neighborhood.

I can understand your concern, but this is not a problem, but a potential problem that might be averted by speaking with the school officials.

Kids are sent to continuation schools for a variety of reasons, some girls are pregnant, some fail to accumulate enough points to graduate, then there are others that had to drop out of school for financial reasons, some simply need an alternative way to finish their high school education. Then you do have to others that are not good citizen, but you would have this crowd in any high school, which is normally about 5-10% of the total population of the school.

Anything could negatively affect the value of your house, but I doubt this continuation school will affect the value of your property.

I hope this has been of some benefit to you, good luck.

    “FIGHT ON”

  3. Not I says:

Do not buy it. Not what you want next door.

  4. Landlord says:

    I would not buy it.

There is no “sometimes” about it. This is a school for the losers who are so bad that the normal kids have to be protected from them. The Future Inmates of America. There is no way in hell I would live anywhere near that.
